LaTeX Editing
A full editorial pass on your LaTeX manuscript, working in your own source.
What is LaTeX Editing
What you receive
LaTeX Editing is our full editorial pass on a LaTeX manuscript: we correct the English, then work on clarity, sentence flow, and the style your target journal expects. Every change lands in your .tex source. Your maths, macros, and document structure stay exactly as you wrote them.
- Everything in LaTeX proofreading
- Sentences and paragraphs reshaped for clarity and flow
- Tone and phrasing matched to your target style
- Tracked changes in your own .tex source, to review line by line
- Comments flagging anything unclear
- Comments explaining any substantive edits
Who we help
Who LaTeX editing is for
Most editors open your .tex in Word, retype the prose, and hand back a file that no longer compiles. Equations drift, macros break, and cross-references die. You lose more time repairing the edit than the edit ever saved.
What document types is this service suitable for?
Built for Overleaf and LaTeX
How it works with Overleaf.
Our editors work in your source, not a retyped copy. Share your project and get it back compiling, with every change tracked for you to accept.
-
Share your project
Add our editor as a collaborator on your Overleaf project, or upload your .tex file or zipped project at checkout. Either way, we work in your source.
-
Edited in Review mode
Your editor works with tracked changes and margin comments, editing around your commands, environments, and references so the file keeps compiling. Nothing is retyped.
-
Accept and compile
You review each suggestion, accept what you want, and compile as usual. Your finished document arrives by the deadline you chose.
Built for technical work
Technical expertise, not just prose.
Our team has considerable experience with technical formats and toolchains, so your notation, code, and source files arrive intact.
LaTeX, natively
We edit directly in your .tex source, preserving your maths, macros, and document structure so the build that compiled before still compiles.
Overleaf & journal submission
Send your whole Overleaf project or a GitHub repository, and we work on the complete source, figures and .bib included.
Notation-aware editors
Editors who read maths, physics, and code as fluently as prose, so meaning is never lost in translation.

Frequently asked questions
Do you edit directly in my .tex source?
Yes. We correct your English in your own .tex, by editors who read the syntax, not just the prose. You get the corrected source back, with tracked changes or an annotated copy to review. Your markup stays yours.
Will my maths, macros, and cross-references survive?
Yes. We change the language and leave the machinery alone. Equations, custom macros, labels, and cross-references stay exactly as you wrote them, so the project that compiled before our edit compiles after it.
Can I send my whole Overleaf project?
Yes. Upload your project as a .zip at checkout, with figures, .bib, and .sty files included, and we work on the complete source. You can also share an Overleaf project or a GitHub repository, and we fit to how you work.
What's the difference between LaTeX proofreading and editing?
Proofreading corrects spelling, grammar, and punctuation in your source. Editing does that and then works on clarity, sentence flow, and consistency so the whole manuscript reads cleanly. Either way the work happens in your .tex, never a retyped copy.
Do you follow my journal's house style?
Yes. Tell us the target journal and we hold its conventions, from British or American spelling to the terminology and reference style it expects. If you also need the manuscript set into the journal's LaTeX class, our LaTeX Typesetting & Formatting service handles that.
Is my work kept confidential?
Yes. Your manuscript is seen only by the people working on it, and we never share or publish your work. We are happy to sign an NDA before you send anything.
